QuickBooks error Codes (-6000,-77) Solution

Quick Tips:-  
  1. Re-Launching QuickBooks Desktop With Elevated Permissions Can Resolve The Issue. Right-Click The QuickBooks Desktop Symbol On Your Own Desktop And Select Run As Administrator.
  2. If The Company File Is Saved On An External Drive, Copy The Company File Locally.

(1) Solution:-
⇉ Download And Run The QuickBooks File Doctor.
(2) Solution:- Rename.ND And.TLG Files
.ND And >TLG Are Configuration File Allow QuickBooks Desktop To Access The Company Files In a Network Or In Multi-User Mode. Corrupted Or Damaged.ND or.TLG Files Can Cause Error When Opening QuickBooks Desktop. Renaming These Files Does Not Cause Data Loss Since These Are Automatically Server Manager.
  1. Open The Folder That Contains Your Company File.
  2. Find The File With The Same File Name As Your Company File But With Extension.Nd And.TLG Example: Company_file.qbw.nd, Company_file.qbw.tlg
  3. Rightclick .nd/.tlg File And Select Rename. Add The Word”.old” After the File Extension And Press Enter. Example: company_file.qbw.nd.OLD, company_file.qbw.tlg.OLD
(3) Solution:- Use UNC path Instead Of Mapped Drive
  1. Right-click The QuickBooks Symbol On Your Desktop, Press And Hold The Ctrl Key From Your Keyboard And Select Run as Administrator. Hold Down The Ctrl Key Until You Have The No Company Open Window.
  2. Note: Holding Down The Ctrl Key Prevents QuickBooks Desktop From Auto-Opening a Company File.
  3. Then Open Company file And Click Next.
  4. In The Left Pane, Click Network And Navigate To The Location of Your Company File.
  5. Note: If You Can’t Find The Folder Where The Company File Saved, You May Need To Set Folder Permissions.
  6. Select The Company File Click Open.

  1. Create A New Folder On Your C:/Drive.
  2. Open The Folder Where The Company File Saved.
  3. Location the .qbw File. Example: Company_file.qbw
  4. Right-Click The .qbw file And Select Copy.
  5. Open The New Folder, Right-Click, And Select Paste.
  6. Set Windows Access Permissions To Share Company files.
  7. Open QuickBooks Desktop And Open The File From The New Location. SLN40284
